The Church of the Good Shepherd, Decatur, is hosting an evening event August 30th with story and song by songwriters Bude Van Dyke, Charles Collier, and Bonnie Collier. Bude, Cherokee Descendent is from Sewanee, TN. Charles and Bonnie live on Centerhill Lake in Smithville,TN. 

The stories and songs will be a comfortable mixture of Native Americana and contemporary folk. Bude is a recovering alcoholic with 27 years sober. Charles served as a military advisor in the Vietnam War. His poetry has been turned masterfully in song by Bonnie who grew up in a grassroots musical family.

There will be a potluck meal served.

All are invited to experience music that honors nature, life and its struggles, and the touchstones of hope when we see ourselves as relatives to all of Creation.
